Our team has two solicitors: Philip Miles and Martin Salloway. Both of them are fully qualifed Duty Solictors for police station and court work.
Philip Miles BA
Philip (qualified 1986) and was in at the start of Bay Advocates as a partner having previously been a partner elsewhere in Torbay.
Phil has a loyal client following which is a tribute to his skills as an advocate and lawyer. He is based in Torquay.
Phil is a devoted family man, church goer and highly knowledgeble about sci-fi and Star Trek in particular.
Martin Salloway BA
Martin has been practising since 1994 and left another local firm to set up Bay Advocates with Anne and Phil.
He is also a Higher Courts Advocate. This entitles him to conduct matters in the Crown Court and above, which are usually the preserve of barristers. Martin has represented clients at the Court of Appeal in London
Martin has developed an eye for technical defences in motoring cases, to the benefit of a number of local drivers.
Away from work, Martin is an enthusiastic cook, the effects of which he tries to counterbalance by regular walking.
